It’s starting to get warmer; the days are getting longer, and the warm light is making it a little more obvious where you haven’t dusted in a while… it’s time for a spring clean!
Although we know we should be cleaning thoroughly throughout the year, there’s no better time than spring to put on those rubber gloves and give everything a deep clean.
Over the past 12 months, many of us have built up clutter and mess as we’ve been inside our homes so much, with a large number of us working in the kitchen.
With this in mind, Wren Kitchens has put together some kitchen cleaning hacks to make it easier for everyone to get their kitchen sparkling this spring.
Following our re-open of all stores from 12th April, please be assured that Castle Marina Shopping Park is following strict health and safety procedures to ensure that everyone stays safe and socially distanced during their visit.
Whether you live alone or have a house full of people, it’s easy for your drawers and cabinets to become cluttered. Nobody likes unorganised chaos, so use spring as the perfect excuse for a clear out.
Things to consider:
Pantries are a fantastic addition to the kitchen and if you’re lucky enough to have one, there’s no doubt that you’ll want to make the most of it.
Things to consider:
Cleaning your oven and hob is a task that many avoid due to the time it can take, but it’s so worth the work.
Things to consider:
So much gets spilt on top of worktops so it can be hard to keep them looking pristine. Also, we do so much living on our kitchen tops that we can sometimes forget to give our appliances that extra TLC. Your annual Spring Clean is a great time to give your toaster, microwave, kettle, and any other appliances some attention.
Things to consider:
Another task that can be sometimes avoided is giving your fridge and freezer a deep clean. By taking all the contents out of your fridge and wiping down your shelves, you’re allowing your fridge to freshen up, making it a hygienic and clean space for your food.
Things to consider:
Step 6: Scrub your sink and dishwasher
Your drains see a lot of waste day to day and therefore you must keep them clean to avoid any smells or blockages. In addition to this, you may find that it has been some time since you last sorted through your dishcloths and sponges, so organise them and throw any damaged or overused ones out.
If you have a stainless-steel sink, use flour and buff away… this will make your sink looking sparkling clean!
Step 7: Give your kitchen one last blast
You’re nearly there! After you have spent time targeting your specific kitchen spaces, it’s a good idea to give your kitchen one final blast…from mopping the floor, cleaning out the bins, and giving anything leftover one last clean down.
Following these seven steps, your kitchen should feel amazing again and your annual spring clean hopefully won’t feel too tedious!
